Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) is a norm inherent in the DNA of Daewoo E&C Nigeria Limited. It is a practice that defines the operations of the company. This attests to the numerous recognition and awards bestowed on her for strict adherence to global standards and practices of Environment Management System.

DECN recognizes the importance of an effective Environmental Management System (EMS) and Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSAS). It is an integral part of her success story in line with customer satisfaction drive. Our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) System satisfies the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 & 45001:2018. This feat is a testament to the culture of commitment of DECN’s Management in ensuring periodic reviews for continuous improvement.

As a reward, DECN has bagged several awards from the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), Indorama Eleme Fertilizer Company Limited (IEFCL), Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) and National Industrial Safety Council of Nigeria (NISCON). The awards and recognitions range from SPDC - Meritorious HSE Performance Award, Green Banding, Outstanding HSE Commitment to Goal Zero, 30 Million LTI Free award (2019), IEFCL – 10 Million LTI Free &15 Million LTI Free awards (2021), NLNG – Best Contractor award (2019) to NISCON – Workplace Safety Award (2021).
